Our
Dogs & Kennels
Dad and I have a combined total of over 50 years of
experience hunting the wily ringneck in our home state of South Dakota.
Our greatest joy is taking family and friends out to hunt over our dogs.
The time spent in the field with our clients has allowed us to establish
new friendships and long term relationships that are very important to
us.
At
EE Hunts, we believe in using well-trained dogs to assist with our
pheasant hunting. To us, there is nothing more exhilarating than walking
in on a dog that is on an intense point, flushing the bird, watching you
make the shot and then have the dog retrieve to hand. Admiring the bird,
with all the beautiful coloration and markings, checking the tail
feathers and seeing the smile on your face makes the hunt complete for
us.
We
are very passionate about hunting over our dogs and they are the reason
we decided to go into this business. Currently, we have two (2) Small
Munsterlanders, a German shorthair, an English Setter, an English
Springer Spaniel and an English Cocker spaniel. We encourage you to
bring your own 4-legged hunting buddies with you to expand your hunting
experience.
Our
dogs have been on two Outdoor Life Network television shows and have
been featured in several magazines, including
Gundog, Pointing Dog Journal and Dakota Outdoors. We take great pride in
the training our dogs have received. At EE Hunts, a day in the field
just isn’t complete without a well trained hunting dog at your side.
Although breeding our dogs isn’t our primary focus, we do occasionally
get one of the dogs bred and then we have puppies for sale. Please let
us know if you’re interested in obtaining one of our future pups. You
will be assured of a dog from a long line of excellent hunters.
We
invite you to join us in the South Dakota countryside for a day – or a
week - of the finest wild pheasant hunting to be found anywhere. We hope
that for you, as well as for us, hunting is a family affair. Bring the
whole family, including your canine companions, and let’s go hunting!
